Mosset Park, Forres Mechanics
My thoughts on Mosset park are that it's the best looked after ground in the league and the stand is the best there is. If there was an enclosure then I'd probably say it's the best ground in the league, if not already. It's certainly one of my favourites. My first visit there was a Forres v Buckie Thistle league game at the start of the season. I was here up on holiday in Inverness and wanted to see a few more grounds. The game ended 1-1 with Ryan Green opening the scoring for Forres before a Jamie Shewen header gave Buckie a share of the points. But my most recent game here was a defeat for Cove. 3-2 to Forres it ended. It was possibly the worst performance I have seen from Cove, especially the first half, going down 3-0 at the break. But the 2nd half was much improved but not good enough, goals from Calum Watson and Kevin Stewert gave us hope but it wasn't to be.
Overall we didn't deserve a point and since then we have lost 3 on the trot (including Forres) to Wick and Turriff. The disappointing thing about the Turriff result was it ended our 3 year unbeaten home run. The journey up to Forres was a good laugh up on the train with the other travelling support. It also helps when you go home to a chip supper. Hopefully my next visit to Mosset Park will be a better one. I've seen Forres play a few times now and it's been a hard game each time, but enjoyable and produces goals every time. They were recently crowned North of Scotland Cup champions and they showed that against Cove. The thing you notice about Mosset Park is you always notice it when driving through Forres.

Loading...As shown in the picture above, it is situated right next to the main road. The odd thing I found when I was here for the Buckie game was that the toilet was just a wall. No urinals, sinks, towels or toilets, just a plain wall. Thankfully that had changed when I came here with Cove.
