Station Park, Nairn County
Station Park, home of Nairn County, is probably the best looking ground in the league. It is well looked after with 2 very modern stand and enclosures. The pitch is also like a bowling green and there looks as if it is always been painted when I come here. My first game here was a good one. It was a Highland League game involving Nairn County and Cove Rangers. The game started off brightly, with Cove having the majority of chances and broke the deadlock half an hour into play. A cross deep into the box and Danny Milne rose above everyone to head the ball home and give Cove the lead. That lead was not to last long though as Tony Low was the quickest to react from a goalmouth scramble and he levelled things up for Nairn. But just before half time Clark Bain slotted past Callum Donaldson and gave Cove a 2-1 half time lead.
The 2nd half was just a matter of how many goals Cove were going to score. They were soon awarded a penalty as Donaldson's stretch took down Dean Lawrie and Danny Milne stepped up to add to his tally. The game was finished as a bad mistake by Sanderson on let in Martin Johnston and he had no problems netting from 16 yards. To finish things off, a cross from Kevin Webster was met by Barrie Stephen and his side foot volley was the 5th goal for Cove and the final of the day. A well deserved win for Cove and another 3 points towards catching Buckie Thistle for the league title.

Overall it was a really good day out to Nairn. The train up and back was eventful and a good chip supper is always something to look forward to on my way back home. The only negative I can say about Nairn was the nearest pub did not have a T.V or pool table so that meant no football to watch or socialising. But the performance from Cove was superb and I'm sure I will see many more games to come at Station Park.
